No Membership is required to shop with us, everyone is welcome at the Co-op!

Small change, big impact.

Invest in something that truly feeds your community.

Breadroot Co-op’s Register Round Up is a simple act that adds up to real, meaningful change in our community. When you round up your purchase to the nearest $1, $5, or more at the register, your spare change helps fuel local nonprofits doing vital work right here at home.

After bringing Register Round Up back following the 2025 election, our community showed up in a big way—raising nearly $10,000 to support our 2026 Q3 & Q4 recipients (Rapid City Area Schools Unpaid Lunch Fund & the Rapid City Library Foundation).

In the past, a slate of recipient organizations was thoughtfully selected internally and then voted on by our Member-Owners. This year, we’re deepening that cooperative spirit by putting even more power directly into your hands. Use this form to nominate a nonprofit organization that matters to you and help shape where our collective generosity—and shared impact—will go next.

Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026. To qualify for Register Round Up consideration, organizations must: Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, be headquartered in and actively serving the Black Hills area, not have received Register Round Up funding within the previous year, not be affiliated with or directly promote religious organizations or political parties.

Breadroot Natural Foods Co-op has a strategic priority to support food security–focused organizations. While nominations are open to a variety of causes that strengthen our community, food security–based organizations will receive added weight during the review process.
