Three years ago, we started Connect With Your Co-op as an avenue for our shoppers to deepen their connection with their food. Breadroot Co-op wants you to shake the hands that feed you. On Saturday, October 10th from 10am to 4pm, we’re inviting you to meet the people behind your favorite products, discover and support the small businesses that were started right here in the Black Hills by your neighbors, and celebrate community connections.

We are teaming up with Leone’s Creamery, a new neighbor here in downtown Rapid City, to create our very own Breadroot ice cream! The flavor is still under-wraps, but you can mark your calendar for it’s release on Friday, October 23rd! The flavor will be scooped exclusively at Leone’s Rapid City, and available in pints at your Co-op. We will be celebrating this collab with a Member-Meet-Up / Ice Cream Social at Leone’s Rapid City on Friday, October 23rd from 5pm to 7pm. Come check out the new shop, try our funky flavor, and mingle with fellow Co-op Members! 

We’re cooperating with our friends at Someone’s in the Kitchen! Celebrate the flavors of the fall harvest in this special cooperative cooking class on Thursday, October 29th from 6pm to 8pm at Someone’s in the Kitchen. Together, we’ll explore sweet and savory ways to use seasonal winter squash, along with warm, rich ingredients that make this menu perfect for autumn and winter entertaining.
